Dolomites trip

Saturday, 1st September 2018 at 9am - 9am Saturday, 8th September

Location: Dolomites, Italy

This event is in the past.

Our summer trip to the Dolomites. We will be staying in Cortina at a campsite we've used before and has all the facilities we need and costs around £10 a night per head.

You'll probably want to fly. The closest are the Venice airports, which are under 2 hours drive from Cortina. Stansted to Venice Treviso is £71 and East Midlands to Milan Bergamo is £168 (Transfer time 4 hours 30 mins). We will need to hire a car if we fly, should be reasonable if we can stuff 3+ people in each car we need.

Contact Andy Railton if you are interested -

OK so I think that we've now more or less got everyone who is attending. Since there are people arriving at different days at the campsite to avoid completely confusing the campsite I would ask that you contact the campsite SEPARATELY. Of the 8 people who are flying from Luton and arriving as a Group, six are definitely staying on the campsite (I will book six of us on as a group Me, Zoe, Lizzy, Lisa, Pixie & Harper)- I will send you the six people an EMail telling them they are being booked on as a group, the other two people on the Luton flight may try and get accommodation off the campsite. The campsite we are staying at is called La Rochetta (Link: their phone number is +39 0436 5063. Remember if you DON'T get an EMail from me by 6 p.m. tonight (1st June) you need to contact the campsite separately. By all means ask if you can camp near the group of six, but please don't confuse them - I'm already theoretically banned for life from a campsite in Argentiere!

I will send out separate EMails shortly about gear, guidebooks with a little map on how to get to the campsite etc....I know some of you are completely experienced Alpinists so please bear with us if you think I'm teaching you to suck eggs.

As ever any Questions contact Andy Railton on 07894 533629.
