THURSDAY NIGHT CLIMBING 24TH MAY 6 P.M. GARDOM'S EDGE

Thursday, 24th May 2018 at 6pm

Location: GARDOM'S EDGE

This event is in the past.

Hi folks,

We are going to Gardom's Edge this Thursday, 24th May from 6 p.m. onwards. Park as for Birchen Edge in the National Trust Car Park adjacent to the Robin Hood Pub off the A619. Walk down the A619 on the right hand side and then take the footpath across the moor, pass by the Eric Byrne campsite. Keep going and you are effectively on the top of the edge, we are going to be at the Apple Buttress area of the crag. It's not that easy to find from the top unless you've been before so I'll wait at the Car Park for folks. The alternative is follow the path proper, which descends towards the A621 and then bear up rightwards towards Apple Buttress, but again unless you’ve been before; easy to get lost!

The weather forecast is warm with a stiffish breeze, so that should keep the midges away.
