The weather looks good this Sunday so we are heading to The Peak District for climbing. Venue and start time is being co-ordinated via the Bowline Days Out WhatsApp group.
This week we are heading out for trad climbing on Thursday at Birchen Edge (Peak District). Some members are going during the daytime and there maybe evening climbing to. If you are planning to go please post in the Thursday Climbing WhatsApp group to co-ordinate with others.
We are off to the Spanish climbing mecca that is El Chorro for this year's 'hot rock' sport climbing trip. The meet runs from Friday 8th November to Saturday 16th November (with the return time such that you can still make the club dinner on the Saturday night). Club member's are flying from East Midlands airport to Malaga and hiring cars from there to travel to El Chorro (about 1 hour's drive), travel to El Chorro by train is also an option.
The basis of this trip is that it is 'self serve' with groups of club member's getting together to travel and stay together in El Chorro. However, at the time of writing there are 3 bunk bed places available with one of the groups who already have accommodation arranged.
